Meet Our Team
Meet Tracey Mixon, our Holistic Health Advisor, and James Mixon, our Faith & Spiritual Wellness Coach — together bringing you whole-person care rooted in faith and function.

James L. Mixon, III
Faith & Spiritual Wellness Coach
Minister | Army Veteran | Seminary Graduate (May 2026)
James Mixon is a man of profound faith, discipline, and purpose — shaped by decades of service to his country, his community, and God.
A retired U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer with 30 years of service, James knows firsthand what it means to carry weight that the body, mind, and spirit were never designed to bear alone. As a disabled Veteran, his own journey to healing through functional medicine became a turning point — transforming personal struggle into a calling to walk alongside others on their path to wholeness.
James is an ordained minister completing his Master of Divinity degree in June 2026. He currently serves as an Elder at Martin Memorial COGIC in Luling, TX, and ministers to incarcerated men at the Caldwell County Jail — bringing hope, truth, and restoration to those who need it most.
At Faith Meets Function, James brings the heart of a shepherd and the discipline of a soldier — guiding clients toward spiritual wellness with compassion, integrity, and unwavering faith.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3

Tracey Mixon
Holistic Health Advisor
Certified Wellness Coach & Functional Medicine Practitioner
Tracey Mixon brings over 30 years of frontline healthcare experience to her role as a Holistic Health Advisor — but it was her own personal journey through autoimmune disease that truly shaped her calling.
After navigating her own health challenges and finding healing through functional medicine, Tracey became a Certified Wellness Coach and Functional Medicine Practitioner in 2019, dedicated to helping others find the root-cause answers she once searched for herself.
Her background in clinical healthcare deepened her understanding of the human body — but her mission at Faith Meets Function is not medical treatment. It is whole-person wellness coaching grounded in faith, functional health principles, and the truth that you were fearfully and wonderfully made.
“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” — Psalm 139:14 (KJV)
Faith Meets Function is a wellness coaching and education practice, not a medical provider. Services provided are not a substitute for medical care.
